HOW TO FLASH

DISCLAIMER: I will not be responsible for any damages that can happen on your device. DO IT ON YOUR OWN RISK

IF you still have the older version (v10 & v11) I suggest you update your device first before doing this to avoid having problems

I'll make this tutorial as simple as possible to avoid confusions. Please READ AND UNDERSTAND IT CAREFULLY before asking any questions.

Note: Please do not remove or format your memory card once your device has been flashed.

If you're going to change or switch into a different MMC I advise to turn off your device first.


First Step

Download JAF and install it Click Here. For Windows Vista/7 users also download this JAF Then change its compatibility mode to XP SP3

After installation download this file jaf_nok4models.rar and extract it to C:\Program Files\ODEON\JAF to replace the existing .ini file


2nd Step

This is the complete set RM-612 v20.0.042 variant for C6. I took the liberty of uploading these files to skip the Navifirm download thingy.

Download here


Then, Download my custom ROFS2

Once everything is downloaded, Extract them to C:\Program Files\Nokia\phoenix\products\RM-612. Then Paste my CFW on RM-612 to replace the existing ROFS2/ROFS3 file.


3rd and Last step (Flashing)

Connect your C6 into your PC then select PC SUITE on your device

NOTE:
Before flashing, please make sure your device is properly plugged on your USB cable and your cable is propelry plugged on your PC. DO NOT move your Phone or trip your cable to avoid any problems.

If your PC can't read your device you need to install OVI suite

Open Jaf then click GO 

 

wait for a sec then an error box will show up. Just click OK

  Then on the jaf window click on BB5 tab. Check MANUAL FLASH, DEAD USB, FACTORY SET & NORMAL MODE. uncheck CRT 308 then check USE INI and wait for a sec.

 A small window will pop up. Scroll down and select RM-612 NOKIA C6-00

 Now TURN OFF YOUR C6 then click FLASH. Another small pop up window will show up then just click YES

 at the bottom of the jaf window it will tell you to TURN ON YOUR PHONE NOW. PRESS the power button for only 2secs then it will tell you PHONE FOUND.

You will see that the screen of your phone will blink several times. DO NOT press anything. Just wait for it to finish.

Then it will tell you DONE!. That's it. You have successfully installed CFW on your C6-00

 

HOW TO FLASH YOUR PHONE BACK TO ORIGINAL FIRMWARE


Just follow the steps on how to flash without replacing the original rofs2/rofs3 files. Simply use the original RM-612 v20.0.042 files.
